Box Score Crown Point, Ind. - RedHawk men's soccer jumped out to a 5-0 first half lead over visiting Andrews Tuesday evening and cruised to a 7-2 victory. The win was the third straight for IU Northwest and the 3-1 start to the season is the best in program history. Freshman center back
Dominic Bixeman lit up the scoreboard, notching a first half hat trick on three free kicks, each from 30 plus yards out.
Sophomore
Martin Palma also scored on multiple occasions, finding the net once in each half. Other RedHawk goals were recorded by

Francisco Torres. Torres lead the RedHawks with a staggering 7 goals through the team's first four matches.

Jared Hecimovich was stellar again turning away several Cardinal strikes with spectacular saves. Andrews tallied their second goal of the match on a penalty kick after Bixeman inadvertently took down an Andrews player in the box.
IU Northwest has scored 25 goals over it's least three matches establishing numerous program records along the way.
Coach's Perspective:
"The non-conference schedule helped us learn a little about who we are and where we still need to go," said IUN Head Coach Ryan Shelton. "It's been great to see the guys coming together and getting contributions from everyone, especially many of our young players. The CCAC schedule is about to really test our mental and physical toughness and we're looking forward to the challenge."
