Box Score DEERFIELD, Ill. -- The Indiana University Northwest women's basketball team was unable to come up with enough offense to catch up with Trinity International as the Trojans defeated the RedHawks, 58-43, inside Van Dixhorn Arena, Monday.

QUARTER BREAKDOWN
FIRST QUARTER (Trinity International 14, IU Northwest 8)
- Both teams traded a pair of baskets to start out the game which made it 4-4.
- TIU responded with five unanswered to grab a 9-4 lead at the 2:51 mark.
- Michaela Schmidt ended the RedHawks drought with a bucket which made it 9-6.
- Back-to-back buckets by TIU made it 14-6 with under a minute to play.
- Meghan Long ended the quarter with a layup.
SECOND QUARTER (Trinity International 30, IU Northwest 20)
- Breanna Boles opened up the second quarter with three points to make it a three-point deficit.
- The Trojans responded with nine straight points to nab a 23-11 lead midway through the second quarter.
- Lauren Smolen ended the run with a bucket which led to nine in a row for the RedHawks this time.
- TIU led 23-20 with 1:45 left before the break after a Trojans timeout they scored the last seven points of the half to grab a 30-20 lead.
THIRD QUARTER (Trinity International 41, IU Northwest 39)
- The Trojans led 38-28 with 5:31 on the clock in the third quarter.
- The RedHawks responded with three layups in a row which two by Long and one by Boles which made it 38-34 with 3:11 left.
- TIU scored the next three for the answer.
- IU Northwest had another run this time with five in a row in the final two minutes after Desa Geisler hit a huge three-pointer and Jessy Siems knocked down a pair at the line.
FOURTH QUARTER (Trinity International 58, IU Northwest 43)
- IU Northwest struggled offensively in the final period, scoring only four points.
- TIU opened up the quarter with a three-pointer before Geisler responded with a layup.
- The Trojans responded with yet another three then Long made a layup of her own.
- It was 47-43 with 6:59 left in the game then TIU scored the last 11 points of the contest to pull away and win 58-43.
