Kansas City, Mo. — Indiana University Northwest proudly announces student-athlete, Maranda Mason, has earned the prestigious National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Scholar-Athlete distinction for the winter season.
Each honoree has excelled in the classroom and competed with the dedication and integrity the RedHawks expect from their athletes.
To qualify for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale, be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have completed one full academic year at the institution and appear on their sport's eligibility certificate.
At IU Northwest, this honor underscores our ongoing commitment to academic achievement as a foundational component of our athletics program. We believe strongly that the RedHawks model not only competition, but also scholarly excellence and personal leadership.
We congratulate Mason for upholding the highest standards in both the classroom and in competition. Their achievements reflect our collective culture of excellence — within their teams and across the broader RedHawks community.
