Box Score GARY, Ind. -- The Indiana University Northwest Women's Basketball Team could not hold on in the second half as Trinity Christian won the game, 86-65, Thursday.
The Trolls (2-1) defeated the RedHawks (1-2) 86-65, at the Savannah Center, Thursday.

QUARTER BREAKDOWN
FIRST QUARTER (IUN 17; Trinity Christian 16)
· Trinity Christian started off the game scoring the first 16 points of the game in the first four minutes.
· IU Northwest ended that run after a basket by Sydney Van Meter.
· The RedHawks would score the next 15 points to go ahead 17-16 at the end of the quarter.
· Van Meter and Ally McConnell hit back-to-back huge three-pointers in the middle of the run.
· Alexis Vieck hit a trifecta and made a jumper to close out the first period to give IU Northwest the 17-16 lead.
SECOND QUARTER (IUN 38; Trinity Christian 37)
· Jessy Siems started the second quarter with a basket to make it 19-16.
· TCC stormed back and scored the next six points to go ahead 22-19.
· Vieck was able to get the response and make it a one-point game again.
· The Trolls kept going ahead in the game and led 31-30 with 3:03 to go before halftime.
· Breanna Boles a huge three-pointer to give the RedHawks a 33-31 lead again with under two minutes to go.
· Trinity Christian answered right back with a three of their own to regain the lead.
· Back-to-back buckets by Samantha Martin and Boles gave IU Northwest a four-point advantage in the last minute.
· However, TCC hit a three-pointer with five seconds left to make it 38-37 IUN going into the break.
THIRD QUARTER (Trinity Christian 66, IUN 50)
· The third quarter was all Trinity Christian as the Trolls outscored the RedHawks 29-12.
· However, both teams went back-and-forth in the first five minutes of the second half.
· Sam Martin tied it at 46-all with a pair of free throws with 5:06 left in the third then TCC started to make their run.
· The Trolls made a 14-4 run to close out the period.
· Michaela Schmidt was able to make a basket in the closing seconds of the third quarter to make it 66-50 TCC.
FOURTH QUARTER (Trinity Christian 86; IUN 65)
· Trinity Christian started the fourth quarter on another run this time it was 8-3 to give the Trolls a 21-point advantage.
· Desa Geisler made a bucket to stop the TCC run to try to get IUN back in the game.
· Taylor Jaksich cut the deficit to 18 (76-58) with 4:05 to play but that was the closest the RedHawks got the rest of the way.
· The Trolls extended the lead to 26 with under two minutes to play which was their biggest lead of the night.
· TCC ended up with the 86-65 victory.
