GARY, Ind. — Senior forward Dom Bixeman has been named the Herff Jones RedHawk Athlete of the Week for Week 2 after scoring in back-to-back matches to open the season for Indiana University Northwest men's soccer.

Bixeman delivered the game-winning goal in the RedHawks' home opener against Grace Christian University on August 27. His decisive header in the 59th minute lifted IUN to a 1-0 victory, securing the program's first win of the season.

The Crown Point, Indiana, native followed that performance with another goal in a 2-1 road match at Lourdes University. Once again striking in the 59th minute, Bixeman continued to show his ability to produce in clutch moments, giving the RedHawks a steady offensive presence.

Standing 6-foot-1, the senior forward has quickly become a leader for IUN on the pitch, combining his scoring ability with composure and consistency. His early-season performances have set the tone for the RedHawks' attack, making him a clear choice for this week's honor.
