Box Score 4 Manchester, Ind. - IU Northwest Women's Volleyball traveled to Manchester Ind for the 2022 Manchester Invite and came away with a pair of wins each day to improve their season record to 10-4 overall.
Friday Recap:
On the opening day of the event, the RedHawks squared off with the Manchester Spartans and earned a 3-1 (25-19, 25-22, 22-25, 25-20) victory. Emileshka De Jesus led IUN with 11 kills and 16 digs.
Briah Strezo also turned in a strong performance with 8 kills and 18 digs.
Chloe Roberts added 17 digs while
Taylor VanDommlen assisted on 32 successful RedHawk attacks. Erika packwood added 8 kills.
In the second match of the day the day vs St. Mary of the Woods, the RedHawks performed well again earning a hard fought 3-2 (25-18, 25-18, 21-25, 23-25, 15-8). Packwood led IUN with 17 kills while De Jesus added 10 kills and 23 digs. Roberts was outstanding again defensively with a team high 32 digs. VanDommlen assisted on 44 IUN points. Mark Markusic added 10 kills for the RedHawks.
Saturday Recap:
IU Northwest started the day versus a familiar for in Governors State , this time in a non-conference tilt and came away with a straight set, 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-10) victory.
In the finale if the event, the RedHawks continued their steady play and made quick work of Franklin College. 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-7). The RedHawks were led by Markusic and Packwood with 9 kills each. ValDommlen Defensively IUN was led by Strezo with 13 digs and
Emma Roberts with 11 digs. Markusic added 3 blocks.

The RedHawks (10-4/1-2) will travel to Davenport, Iowa this Tuesday as they look to even their conference record in a road match versus the Saint Ambrose Bees.
