CHICAGO — Indiana University Northwest senior guard Ladaion Barnes was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for Week 11, marking his first offensive weekly honor of the 2025-26 season and another milestone in a standout campaign for the RedHawks. Barnes previously earned CCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 4, making this recognition a notable two-way achievement.

Barnes electrified the conference with stellar performances over the seven-day reporting period ending Jan. 18, averaging 34.0 points per game while contributing on both ends of the floor. He opened the week with 24 points, six rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist against Governors State before delivering a historic night in an 81-78 win over St. Francis (Ill.), where he poured in a program-record 44 points on 15-of-20 shooting and 7-of-10 from three-point range.

Over the two games, Barnes shot 64.9 percent from the field and 71.4 percent from beyond the arc, while also totaling 12 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals, underscoring his complete impact for the RedHawks.

With the split week, IU Northwest stands at 5-5 in CCAC play and 8-11 overall, as Barnes continues to be a driving force in one of the conference's most competitive men's basketball races.

Conference Notes:
• Barnes becomes one of the few RedHawks this season to earn both Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors.
• His 44-point performance set a new single-game scoring record in program history.
• The RedHawks remain in the thick of the CCAC standings heading into the second half of conference play.
