GARY, Ind. — Indiana University Northwest women's soccer opens the 2025 season at home Saturday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. against Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) at East Chicago Central Soccer Field, aiming to build on last year's .500 campaign and deepen its CCAC footprint.
The RedHawks finished 8-8-2 overall, 5-5-1 CCAC in 2024, outscoring opponents 30–18 and posting seven shutouts behind a disciplined back line. Senior goalkeeper
Isabel Escalera returns after a 1.06 goals-against average and .793 save percentage. Offensively, junior forward
Zoey Wells led with 6 goals and 5 assists (17 points), while
Erin Harrison (3G, 1A) and
Xiomara Santana (3G, 1A) provided consistent production.
A veteran core anchors the XI: defenders
Nora Loebbert,
Asia Garcia,
Katie Juarez, and
Dusty Stoner; midfielders
Marisa Paredes,
Kendal Carrubba,
Allison Farmer, and
Alanis Gonzalez; and attackers Harrison, Wells,
Olivia Montes, and
Emma Skalka. Escalera is joined in goal by sophomore
Riley Kain.
Depth arrives in an 11-player newcomer class that blends freshmen and transfers —
Juju Bozinovski,
Alexa Calix,
Piper Ellenberger,
Alanis Gonzalez,
Ava Haluska,
Katie Juarez,
Riley Kain,
Gabby Maldonado,
Madison Polzin,

Emma Skalka. "We're bringing in a strong mix of young talent and experienced players… Together, they raise the standard of what we're building here," head coach
