GARY, Ind. — Indiana University Northwest proudly announces that Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications Robyn Griffin has been selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 30 Under 30 Class of 2025, a prestigious national honor recognizing rising leaders in the athletics communications profession.
The CSC 30 Under 30 program highlights outstanding young professionals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, creativity, and impact within their institutions and the broader collegiate athletics landscape. Griffin, one of only 30 recipients nationwide, was recognized for her rapid growth in the field and her dedication to elevating IU Northwest's digital and media presence.
"I am deeply honored to be named one of CSC's 30 Under 30 Award recipients," Griffin said in the CSC announcement. "Having been in the field professionally for just three years, I'm proud of the strides I've made. Who would have thought that being rotated out and keeping stats on the volleyball bench would lead to an incredible opportunity to serve as an SID—let alone at my alma mater? I'm grateful for the mentors I've had across the profession who have helped shape me into the person I am today."
Griffin's connection to IU Northwest extends back to 2016, when she arrived on campus as a student-athlete on a volleyball scholarship before later competing in golf and soccer. During her undergraduate years, she gained hands-on experience in athletics communications as a student statistician and communications assistant, setting the stage for a future career in the profession.
After graduation, Griffin continued to develop her skills before returning to IU Northwest in a communications role. In 2025, she was elevated to Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications, where she now leads the department's media relations, digital strategy, content creation, and game-day statistics operations.
Her work has significantly enhanced IU Northwest's storytelling and digital outreach, strengthening the RedHawks' brand across platforms while highlighting the achievements of student-athletes and coaches.
The CSC 30 Under 30 Class of 2025 features talented professionals from across NCAA Divisions I, II, III, the NAIA, and two-year colleges. Griffin's selection places IU Northwest among institutions recognized for excellence and innovation in athletics communications.
IU Northwest congratulates Griffin on this outstanding accomplishment and the national recognition of her continued impact within the College Sports Communicators community.
