BOURBONNAIS Ill. - RedHawks men's and Wpomen's Cross Country competed Friday in Bourbonnais, Ill. in. the annual Midwest Classic hosted by Olivet Nazarene Univiversity. All of the athletes battles uneasonably warm temerparures and humidity in what became a battle of willl and mental and physical toughness,

RedHawks freshman Katie Plopper represented IU Northwest well as she completed the course in a time of 29:09.60 which placed her 94th among the starters. 

Women's results

The men's race was up next as IU Northwest sophomore Jaiden Hurrle represented the RedHawks with a time of 33:33.60 which placed him 110th on the field of 132 participants as he too battled extreme conditions.

The RedHawks will return to the course with their next race on October 11th as they travel to South Bend for the Bethel Cross Country Classic.
