PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – Jessica Carrothers, Tiara Jackson and Makayla Best each hit double figures for the Indiana University Northwest women's basketball team in the 85-34 victory over Trinity Christian Saturday afternoon.
 
Carrothers, who scored a game-high 23 points began the contest with a jumper, and the defense held the Trolls without a bucket for the first four minutes. Over that time, the RedHawks built a 10-0 advantage.
 
Three minutes into the second quarter, IUN would go up by 20 after Jackson muscled her way into the paint for two of her 19 points. To finish up the opening half Carrothers pushed the RedHawks lead to 27 when she scored on a jumper.
 
The IUN defense continued to suffocate TCC in the second half holding the Trolls to just 16 points. In the fourth quarter, TCC was held to 1-of-17 shooting and were out rebounded 23-9 with Carrothers and Jackson pulling down a combined nine boards.
 
For the game Jackson grabbed 13 rebounds, while Best added 10 points and eight rebounds to go along with five assists.
 
Next up for the RedHawks is a Wednesday evening contest against Judson starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Savannah Center.
