Box Score CROWN POINT, Ind. -- Sophomore Vitaliy Prots recorded his third goal of the season in the 71st minute but the Indiana University Northwest men's soccer team was unable to come out on top and fell to University of St. Francis (Illinois) in their Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference home opener.

- Edward Luna scored the lone goal of the half in the fourth minute as that score would hold until the break.
- Fernando Ramos was able to record eight saves in the first save on a strong USF attack.
Second Half: St. Francis (Ill.) 6, IU Northwest 1
- The Fighting Saints scored the first two goals of the second half to make it 3-0.
- Trevor Witte looked to cut the deficit in half before USF scored their second goal but it was saved.
- Vitaliy Prots scored his third goal of the season in the 71st minute to cut it to 3-1.
- USF made it quickly 4-1 in the 72nd minute.
- Angel Gaitan tried to shrink the lead in half minutes later but the goalie saved it again.
- The Fighting Saints wasted no time in the 82nd and 83rd minute with back-to-back goals to make it 6-1.
- USF scored their final goal in the 87th minute to make it 7-1 final.
