CROWN POINT, Ind.  -- Freshman Angel Diaz connected on his first collegiate goal in the 76th minute as the IU Northwest men's soccer team was defeated by Holy Cross College at the Crown Point Sportsplex Tuesday.

• Holy Cross scored two goals in the opening half to go ahead 2-0.
• Fernando Ramos recorded four saves in the first 45 minutes. 

SECOND HALF: Holy Cross 8, IU Northwest 1

• The Saints made eight more goals in the second half for 10 total during the match.
• Alec Spicer tried to put the RedHawks on the scoreboard but his shot was saved in the 66th minute.
• Trevor Witte looked to end the drought in the 76th minute but the goalkeeper saved it again.
• Angel Diaz was able to get the rebound off Witte's shot and found the back of the net for his first goal of the season.
• Ramos picked up six more saves in the second half.
