GARY, Ind. — Indiana University Northwest placed two student-athletes on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, the organization announced.
Men's basketball's Antonio Phillips and women's basketball standout EJ Brown-Griffin* were both recognized for their excellence on the court and in the classroom.
The CSC Academic All-District® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and academics across NCAA Divisions I, II, III and the NAIA. To be eligible, student-athletes must meet high academic standards while competing in a majority of their team's contests.
Brown-Griffin, denoted with an asterisk, was selected as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. Academic All-America® selections for men's and women's basketball are scheduled to be announced in April.
Academic All-America® distinction is among the most prestigious academic honors in collegiate athletics, recognizing student-athletes who excel at the highest levels both athletically and academically.
The CSC Academic All-America® program is partially supported by NCAA Division II and III governance structures, along with the NAIA, to assist with awards fulfillment for the 2025-26 academic year.
