GARY, Ind. — Senior forward Caleb Jenkins has been named the Herff Jones RedHawk Athlete of the Week for Week 22 after a series of strong performances in Indiana University Northwest men's basketball games from Feb. 16–Feb. 21.

Jenkins provided consistent scoring and leadership as the RedHawks competed in three games over the week. IUN opened with a convincing 79-60 win over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Feb. 16, where Jenkins scored efficiently and helped lead the team's offensive attack in a balanced scoring effort. The RedHawks shot over 46 percent from the field and dominated the paint and glass on both ends. ([turn1search4])

In a Feb. 18 rivalry matchup at home against Indiana University South Bend, Jenkins again stepped up, finishing with 13 points while knocking down key shots, including three three-pointers, as the RedHawks pulled out an 84-74 victory. His ability to stretch the defense and score from deep complemented balanced scoring from teammates and played a major role in IUN's second conference win of the week. ([turn1search1])

The week concluded with a road game at Olivet Nazarene on Feb. 21, where the RedHawks battled throughout but fell 65-59. Despite the loss, Jenkins continued to contribute, showing poise in tough road conditions and adding scoring that helped keep IUN competitive into the final minutes. ([turn1search9])

A senior from De La Salle Institute in Chicago, Jenkins has been a steady leader for the RedHawks this season. His ability to score in multiple ways—spotting up from behind the arc, finishing around the rim and hitting timely jump shots—has made him one of IUN's most reliable offensive weapons.
