GARY, Ind. — Indiana University Northwest men's basketball has announced its 2026-27 schedule, featuring a 28-game slate with an even split of 14 home contests and 14 road games.
The RedHawks, led by 10th-year head coach Javier Heridia, will open the regular season Oct. 23 on the road against Grace College before returning to Savannah Center Gymnasium for the home opener Oct. 29 against Andrews University. Heridia enters his 10th season at the helm of the RedHawks after taking over the program in 2016.
IU Northwest will continue its nonconference schedule with a road matchup at Indiana University Kokomo on Nov. 4 before hosting Saint Ambrose University on Nov. 7. The RedHawks will then travel to Saginaw Valley State and Rochester Christian before returning home Nov. 18 to host Indiana Tech.
The nonconference portion of the schedule continues with a Nov. 24 home matchup against Saint Xavier before IU Northwest closes November on the road at Saint Ambrose.
The RedHawks will return home Dec. 8 to face the University of St. Francis before beginning a stretch of games that includes road contests at IU South Bend and Judson. IU Northwest will close out December with home games against IU Kokomo and Goshen College.
Conference play begins in January, with the RedHawks opening the month at Governors State on Jan. 6. IU Northwest will host Calumet College of St. Joseph on Jan. 9 before traveling to Holy Cross on Jan. 13.
The RedHawks will then return to Savannah Center Gymnasium for consecutive home contests against Olivet Nazarene on Jan. 16 and Viterbo on Jan. 20. The team will follow with three road games against Saint Xavier, the University of St. Francis and Calumet College of St. Joseph.
February will feature five regular-season contests, beginning with three consecutive home games against Judson, Governors State and IU South Bend. IU Northwest will then travel to Viterbo and Olivet Nazarene before closing the regular season at home against Holy Cross on Feb. 20.
The Holy Cross matchup will serve as Senior Day, giving the RedHawks an opportunity to recognize their senior student-athletes before the conclusion of the regular season.
All 14 home contests are scheduled to be played at Savannah Center Gymnasium, with home games available to watch through JED TV.
