Indiana Northwest Battle to Scoreless Draw at Judson

Presented by Marcus Allard Truck Rental

ELGIN, Ill. — Indiana University Northwest men's soccer turned in a gritty defensive effort to earn a 0-0 draw on the road against Judson University Saturday afternoon at Dawson Field.

Goalkeeper Devun Collins was outstanding for the RedHawks (1-8-1, 0-1-1 CCAC), recording four saves, including a stop on a Judson penalty kick in the 68th minute that preserved the clean sheet. The senior keeper came up with two saves in each half and anchored a defense that stood tall against second-half pressure.

IU Northwest nearly broke through in the opening 30 minutes with three quality looks. Tristyn Kososkie forced a save in the 15th minute, followed by shots from Dom Bixeman and Tre Adams that were both stopped by Judson goalkeeper Ivan Dominguez. In the second half, Cesar Lopez created a chance in the 73rd minute, but his shot was blocked inside the box.

The RedHawks finished with four shots, three of them on goal, while Judson (2-4-3, 1-0-1 CCAC) managed seven shots overall. IU Northwest also earned two corner kicks and showed discipline late to hold off the Eagles' attack.

IU Northwest returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 30, traveling to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to face Viterbo at 3:30 p.m.
