GARY, Ind. — Freshman runner Madalyn Addison has been named the Herff Jones RedHawk Athlete of the Week for Week 4 after setting a personal record at the Ken Weidt Classic on Saturday, Sept. 13.
Addison led the RedHawks with a 32nd-place finish out of 98 runners in the women's 6K at Concordia University (Wis.). Her performance helped guide IU Northwest to a fifth-place team finish in a competitive field. The effort marked a career best for Addison and showcased her ability to rise to the occasion on a challenging course.
The Hammond, Indiana, native has quickly made her presence felt for IUN cross country. Her improvement and consistency early in her freshman season highlight both her commitment in training and her potential to grow into a steady contributor for the RedHawks.
