GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –Jaiden Hurrle and
Lilly Butler set a personal best time for the Indiana University Northwest cross country team Saturday in the 8 and 5-kilometer at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge.
Indiana Wesleyan won the team title on the men's side, while Mount Vernon Nazarene was the women's winner.
For the RedHawks, Hurrle finished the race in 163
rd, but crossed the line with a time of 31 minutes, 38:20 seconds. His previous best time was set at the Bethel Invitational where he closed out the day in 32:35.40.
Butler, meanwhile, finished the Saturday afternoon event in 168
th place and crossed the finish line in 25:24.90, which was just over two minutes faster than her time in the Midwest Classic earlier this season.
Next up for the RedHawks is the CCAC Championship on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Sunset Hill Farm Park in Valparaiso.
