GARY, Ind. — Indiana University Northwest Athletics is accepting applications for a full-time certified assistant athletic trainer to join the RedHawks' sports medicine staff.
The position will work alongside the head athletic trainer in serving seven varsity NAIA programs, including men's and women's basketball, soccer and cross country, as well as women's volleyball. The role is offered as a contract affiliate position through Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute.
Responsibilities include providing injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation services to IU Northwest student-athletes, while also assisting physicians and clinical staff in patient care. The position requires BOC certification and an Indiana athletic training license, with previous clinical or orthopedic experience preferred.
IU Northwest competes in the NAIA's Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference and is based on the Gary campus.
