GARY, Ind. - Indiana University Northwest is proud to host the annual Friends & Family Jamboree from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, an event that aims to celebrate the new school year with the IU Northwest community.
The event will take place in the Savannah Center, located on the IU Northwest campus at 65 W. 33rd Ave., Gary, Ind. 46408.
Individuals of all ages are invited to attend the event, which will include a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, volleyball, bowling, kick ball, double-dutch contests, free haircuts, face painting, video games, community resource tables and more. There will also be a performance by Chienoo's Dance Team and the Jazzy Ladies will provide line dancing instruction. There's something for everyone to join in the fun!
Free food will be available, including hot dogs, chips, cookies and water, while supplies last.
This beloved event, originally organized by Indiana State Representative Vernon Smith and community partners, continues as a heartfelt tribute to his dedication and love for the community.
