Though the RedHawks struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 13 percent (3-of-23), they made up for it with their interior play, outscoring Holy Cross 28-10 in the paint.
The Saints (13-8, 7-6 CCAC) kept it close in the early going, trailing 16-14 after the first quarter. However, Indiana Northwest pulled away in the second, outscoring Holy Cross 18-11 to take a 34-25 lead into halftime. The RedHawks maintained their advantage through the third quarter, leading 47-35 heading into the final period.
Holy Cross attempted to rally late, cutting the deficit to five midway through the fourth quarter, but Indiana Northwest responded with key defensive stops and clutch free throws to seal the win.
Grace Adams led the Saints with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Allie Caldwell recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists. Kayliana Hammel added nine points, and Brooke Lindesmith chipped in five.
