GARY, Ind. – It's NAIA Tournament time for the 13
th seed Indiana University Northwest men's basketball team as it battles No. 4 Concordia (Neb.) in the first round Friday evening in Salina, Kan., on the campus of Kansas Wesleyan.

The RedHawks take on the 23-7 Bulldogs, who fell 82-78 in the semifinals of the GPAC Tournament at Hastings. Noah Schutte is the leading scorer for Concordia as he averaged nearly 21 a game, while Tristan Smith and Bradley Bennett also averaged double figures at 18.2 and 10.9 per contest.
The surging RedHawks have won 14-of-15 and are led by all-conference honorees,
Dannie Smith,
Trace Williams and
Anthony Taylor. Smith is scoring 15 per game and has pulled down a team-high 238 rebounds. Williams and Taylor have combined to dish 177 assists and have picked 61 steals.
The potential second round matchup will feature a game against either Kansas Wesleyan or LSU Shreveport. KWU is 23-8 this season and is coming off a loss in the KCAC Championship game. LSUS, meanwhile, is 22-8 dropped an 89-74 decision to LSU Alexandria in the conference tournament semifinals.
