GARY, Ind. – Just six regular season and two home games remain on the 2023-24 men's and women's basketball schedule with the action this week taking place on the road at Olivet Nazarene and Trinity Christian.

Men's Basketball
Winners of six straight, the RedHawks are still looking to secure a top four spot in the upcoming CCAC Tournament. IUN sits in third place a game behind IU South Bend for second place a half game ahead of Wednesday's foe ONU.
 
Over the last six games for the RedHawks, 
Dannie Smith has averaged 16 points a game and is pulling down 8.7 rebounds per contest. 
Trace Williams, 
Anthony Taylor and 
Jalen Houston are also scoring in double figures.
 
Since the last meeting between ONU and IUN, the Tigers have gone 3-3 with wins over CCSJ, Judson and St. Francis. ONU travels to Governors State tonight to play a make-up game that was postponed due to winter weather.
 
Women's Basketball
With the six games left on the slate, IUN sits two games behind Saint Xavier, who would host the RedHawks in the opening round of the CCAC Tournament. IUN, meanwhile, is tied with Holy Cross and Wednesday opponent ONU for fifth place.
 
Since the RedHawks 11-point win over the Tigers back on Jan. 6, ONU has won five of its last six ballgames. The only defeat was a 77-74 decision to Roosevelt last week despite getting a double-double performance from Brooklyn Marshall.
 
The RedHawks are 3-3 over the last six ballgames have gotten 29 points per game from the nation's second leading scorer 
Jessica Carrothers. 
Tiara Jackson and Carrothers have each grabbed nine rebounds per game, while 
Alyna Santiago has dished 5.1 assist a contest.
