Following the exhibition game at Chicago State, the RedHawks are back to the CCAC grind Wednesday, which is also Senior Night. IUN is battling Governors State for the first time this season and is looking to split the season series with first place Roosevelt.

In the home contest against the Lakers, IUN had been hampered by a week of winter weather and had been off for eight days. After that contest, the RedHawks won nine straight games to put themselves in the top half of the CCAC Tournament bracket.

This season Dannie Smith (15.5 ppg) and Jalen Houston (14.1 ppg) are in the top 10 of the CCAC in scoring, while Smith (7.8 rbg) is third in rebounds and Anthony Taylor (1.6 bpg) ranks third in block.

Women's Basketball
With wins this week over Governors State and Roosevelt, and two losses by either Roosevelt or Saint Xavier, the RedHawks earn a home CCAC Tournament game. IUN will finish no lower than sixth in the final league standings.

GSU is alone in second place in the conference standings and has won four straight games. After winning eight straight, Roosevelt has split its last four games losing to SXU and IU South Bend.

The RedHawks, meanwhile, continued to be led by the nation's second leading scorer, Jessica Carrothers, who is pouring in 28 points per game. Tiara Jackson, meanwhile, tops the CCAC In rebounds and field goal percentage.
