The Indiana Northwest women's volleyball team finished the regular season with an overall record of 14-17 and a conference record of 6-8, placing them seventh in the CCAC. This earned them a bid to the postseason conference tournament for the first time since 2019, giving
Alondra Avalos her first postseason berth as head coach for the RedHawks.
The RedHawks will face Saint Xavier University in the quarterfinals for their first match of the tournament. The RedHawks lost to the Cougars on the road earlier this season and will look to even the season series with a victory. Saint Xavier finished the regular season with an overall record of 17-10 and a conference record of 13-1, including a five-game win streak to end the season.
Indiana Northwest has had streaky stretches this season, with multiple winning and losing streaks throughout. The RedHawks could make noise in this tournament if they manage to get on a hot streak in pursuit of their first conference championship in program history.
Erica Packwood leads the RedHawks in kills this season and ranks third in the CCAC with 338, which also places her fifth for most kills in a season in program history.
Briah Strezo leads the team in digs with 456, setting the record for the most in a single season in program history and ranking fourth in the CCAC.
Josephine Mulligan leads the team in assists with 513, and
Karly Jevert leads the team in total blocks with 67.
The match is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. CST in Chicago, Illinois.
