LAKEVILLE, Ind. – Kelly Landry and
Kelly Shaffer each netted goals in the Indiana University Northwest women's soccer teams 2-0 victory over CCAC foe IU South Bend Saturday afternoon at Newton Park.
The RedHawks got their first goal of the day off the foot of Shaffer in the eighth minute and then four minutes later Landry hit the back of the net for the first time this season. Shaffer, meanwhile, picked up her second assist of the season on Landry's goal.
IUN fired 23 shots off at the Titans keeper with nine landing on target as Landry led the way with four shots on goal.
Olivia Montes, Olivia Hansen and
Kendal Carrubba finished the day with seven combined shots.
In between the pipes for the RedHawks was
Isabel Escalera, who picked up a combined shutout with
Cailey Belloso. It was IUN's fourth shutout of the season, which ties the school record for the most shutouts.
Next on the docket for the RedHawks is trip to Saint Ambrose on Tuesday with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. in Davenport, Iowa.
