GARY, Ind. – It is the final tune-up week for the Indiana University Northwest soccer teams and the season opening weekend for the volleyball squad as they travel to Fort Wayne for the OnSet Tournament.

Women's Soccer
A week ago, the RedHawks opened the preseason schedule at South Suburban where they played to a tie. Unofficially
Zoey Wells put IUN's goal into the net in the second half on an assist by
Olivia Montes.
This week the RedHawks battle Huntington, who is coming off a 2-14-2 record a season ago. Last season, IUN defeated the Foresters 1-0 as
Kelly Shaffer netted the tally for the RedHawks early in the first half.
Men's Soccer
Friday evening, the RedHawks took care of Ancilla thanks in part to a hat trick off the foot of
Dom Bixeman. Late in the contest
Avione Lane scored a preseason goal when he found a loose ball from a goalie deflection.
A year ago, Waubonsee finished 13-4-1 and lost 2-0 in the NJCAA Region 4 Tournament quarterfinals.
Volleyball
Friday afternoon, the RedHawks take part in the annual OnSet Tournament in the Fort Wayne Coliseum. IUN is playing West Virginia Tech, Marian and Grace for the first time in program history, while also going head-to-head with Huntington for the seventh time.
After the weekend in Fort Wayne, the RedHawks come to home to host region foe Purdue Northwest in an exhibition contest.
