REDHAWKS FALL TO JAGUARS

Crown Point, Ind. - IU Northwest men's soccer battled one of the top teams on the CCAC on Saturday in the Governors State and fell 3-0 to the Jaguars. The Jaguars held a decisive 45 to 10 shot advantage.  IUN goal keeper was outstanding in limiting the Jaguars to just 3 goals as he notched a career high 16 saves on the evening. Vitality Prots led IUN with 4 shots with a pair of shots coming on goal.

Prots ripped a shot early in the contest that required save by Jaguars goal keeper Tormo-Lopez. That would prove to be the best scoring opportunity of the evening for IUN. The Jaguars got on the board first Carlos Morales' strike from 25 yards found the upper corner of the net at 28'. The jaguars second goal would shortly before the half as the shot by Araque snuck just inside the far the post to make it 2-0.  The final goal of the evening came earing the second half at 45' off a Jaguars corner and header by Judd.

The loss dropped the RedHawks record to 3-6 overall and 0-5 in CCAC play. IU Northwest has been held scoreless in it's last five matches versus CCAC opponents.

Coach's Perspective:
"Despite the score and stats we played very well tonight versus one the best teams in the conference that has national tournament experience," said IUN Head Coach Ryan Shelton. We matched their physicality and didn't make many mistakes and it took great plays from their impact players to beat us."  "We continue to take positives away from each match as make progress and continue to get valuable experience for our young players,"
