PROTS SCORES BUT REDHAWKS FALL TO JUDSON

Crown Point, Ind. - Vitaliy Pros scored a goal for IU Northwest just as the first half expired to cut the Judson University lead to 3-1, but the RedHawks fell to the Eagles by a final score of 5-1 Friday night at the Sportsplex.  Prots buzzer beating goal as the first half expired was set us by a beautiful through ball by Donovan Santa Maria and assisted by Domin Bixeman. Unfortunately it would be the ony RedHawks goal in the match as they were outshot 24-5 by the Eagles.

IU Northwest was without the services of leading scorer Francisco Torres whi missed the game. The Eagles struck first within the opening minute of the match as a long ball was played and chipped over IUN goalkeeper Jared Hecimovich who came off his line. Hecimovich tallied 9 saves on the evening.

Prots goal was his fifth of the season tying him with Dominic Bixeman for second on the team for goals. With the assist Bixeman ranks second on the team in total points only behind Torres with 12 points.

Coach's Perspective
"We were a little shorthanded tonight and adjusted our formation. For most of the match our adjustments helped us move the ball down the field, however our lack of experience with the formation led to a few mistakes in the back that were costly," said IUN Head Coach Ryan Shelton.

Next Up
The RedHawks (3-8 / 0-6) will travel to Chicago this Wednesday for a CCAC matchup with the Saint Xavier Cougars. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
