Box Score GARY, Ind. -- The Indiana University Northwest men's basketball team was able to rally for their seniors as the RedHawks were able to come back and defeat Trinity International, 78-77, at the Savannah Center, Wednesday.

GAME RECAP
Tromon Weston started the game with two slam dunks to start the game. IU Northwest led 6-5 early in the game then TIU scored five straight points to grab a 10-6 lead.
IU Northwest cut it down to 12-11 after a three-pointer by Marshaud Watkins but then the Trojans bounced back with back-to-back threes of their own. Jared Johnson responded with a layup but then TIU scored five more points to grab a 24-13 lead.
Later in the half, TIU went up 36-19 with 7:23 left in before the break. IU Northwest tried to crawl back into the game after scoring the next 10 points capped off by a bucket by Watkins to make it 36-29 TIU.
The Trojans bounced back with a three-pointer to extend it back out to double-digits. After a basket by Johnson cut it to eight, Trinity International scored seven straight points to go back up 46-31 with 1:36 left.
IU Northwest closed out the first half by scoring the last seven points capped off by a layup from Brian Hernandez. TIU led 46-38 at the break.
The Trojans opened up the second half with a basket then Watkins responded with a three-pointer. TIU led 52-43 then Watkins made a three-point shot, Damond Crosby made a basket then Johnson nailed a three to make it 52-51 Trojans with 15:27 remaining.
Both teams would trade lead changes and ties with Jason Peace making some clutch shots down the stretch. Watkins made it 67-63 RedHawks with 6:03 left in the game.
TIU responded with back-to-back baskets to tie the contest again. The Trojans led 77-74 with 20 seconds left then Watkins made a pair to cut it within one.
On the next TIU possession, Hernandez was able to pick the inbounds ball off and lay it up and in with three seconds left to give the RedHawks a 78-77 lead. IU Northwest ending up winning 78-77.

IU Northwest will be back in action Saturday, February 12 as the RedHawks travel to Whiting, Indiana to take on Calumet College of St. Joseph with game time scheduled for 3 p.m. CT.
