GAME RECAP
Karli Miller started the game with a basket then IUSB scored the next five points. Tiara Jackson would go on to score the next six points to go up 8-5.
The Titans responded with a three-pointer then the RedHawks scored eight unanswered after Sarah Martin, Miller, Jackson and Michaela Schmidt made baskets to make it 16-8. IU Northwest led 17-10 after the first quarter.
IUSB started the second quarter with a layup then IU Northwest responded with back-to-back baskets by Miller. Sarah Martin quickly made it 23-12 then the Titans scored seven points in a row to make it 23-19.
IU Northwest split a pair of free throws on two different trips to the line. The Titans responded and tied the game at 24-all.
The RedHawks closed out the half with eight unanswered points started off by a basket by Meghan Long. Lauren Smolen continued the run with back-to-back layups then Sarah Martin capped it off with a basket with six seconds left to go up 32-24 at the break.
IU South Bend started the second half with five straight points to cut it down to four points. Sarah Martin responded with the next seven points for IU Northwest to make it 41-36 IUN.
The Titans responded with back-to-back three pointers to grab a 42-41 lead. Madison Wirey was able to repond for the RedHawks after making two straight threes to make it 48-43 IU Northwest.
IUSB closed out the third quarter with back-to-back layups to cut it down to one to end into the half period. Samantha Martin started the fourth quarter with a layup then the Titans rallied for seven straight points to make it 54-50 IUSB.
Moments later, Katelyn Halfacre gave the RedHawks a 59-58 lead with 4:47 left in the game. IU South Bend responded with 10 straight points to grab a 68-59 lead with under a minute remaining.
Schmidt put a stop to the run to make it 68-60 then Jackson made it 70-63 but IU South Bend had the upper hand throughout the rest of the way. The Titans ended up winning the contest 72-63.

IU Northwest concludes their 2021-22 season with a 19-11 record and a 14-8 mark in the CCAC under first year head coach Jesse Ford.
