GARY, Ind. -- The Indiana University Northwest women's volleyball team put up a fight against the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference leader Saint Xavier as the RedHawks dropped in straight sets, 3-0, at the Savannah Center Tuesday.

• SXU went up 3-1 early in the first set then IU Northwest tied it 4-4. 
• Both teams went back-and-forth until it was 11-all.
• The Cougars went up 18-16 late in the first set but it was too late.
• SXU scored five points in a row to make it 23-16.
• IU Northwest rallied and scored six in a row to make it 23-22 but SXU scored the next two points to make it 25-22.

SET 2: Saint Xavier 25, IU Northwest 22

• Both teams traded points early in the second set making it 5-5.
• SXU scored three in a row to make it 8-5.
• The Cougars held onto a lead most of the second set until IU Northwest rallied and made it 16-all.
• Both teams would trade the next few points to make it 19-all.
• IU Northwest led 20-19 late in the second before SXU scored four in a row to make it 23-20. 
• SXU won the second set 25-22.

SET 3: Saint Xavier 25, IU Northwest 19

• Both teams traded points early in the third set and made it 5-5.
• SXU won the next three points to make 8-5 in favor of the Cougars.
• IU Northwest cut it to 10-9 in favor of SXU. 
• SXU held onto a slim margin but then the Cougars led 17-13.
• The closest the RedHawks got was 20-17 but SXU scored three in a row to make it 23-17.
• SXU won the third match 25-19 and won the match 3-0.
