DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Sophomore Vitaliy Prots scored his second goal of the season in the eighth minute as the IU Northwest men's soccer team was unable to hold onto a halftime lead as the RedHawks dropped a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference match to Trinity International Wednesday.

HALF BREAKDOWN
1st Half: IU Northwest 1, Trinity International 0.

• Alec Spicer was on the attack early as he got off a shot attempt in the fourth minute but the goalkeeper was right there with the save.
• Vitaliy Prots scored his second goal of the season in the eighth minute to make it 1-0 IU Northwest.
• That score would hold up until halftime with IU Northwest leading 1-0.
• Fernando Ramos recorded six huge saves in the first half to keep it 1-0. 

2nd Half: Trinity International 5, IU Northwest 0

• Spicer tried again, this time to double the lead but his shot went high.
• Moments later, TIU tied the match at 1-1 in the 51st minute after Caleb Wells found Sean Fenton.
• In the 53rd minute, the Trojans doubled their lead to make it 2-1 after Josiah Joseph passed it into Josiah Fuchs.
• Josiah Joseph passed it into Xavier Brown to make it 3-1 in the 60th minute.
• In back-to-back minutes during the 86th and 87th, TIU made it 5-1 after back-to-back goals.
• IU Northwest was unable to get another shot attempt off.
• Ramos recorded five more saves in the second half to bring his total to 11 for the match.
