Box Score 2 ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The Indiana University Northwest volleyball team split a pair of games to conclude the Rochester University Tournament Saturday. The RedHawks defeated Rochester after dropping Friday's match to the Warriors and then IUN lost to the University of Northwestern Ohio Saturday after defeating them the day before.

FIRST SET (IU Northwest 25, Rochester 20)
- Both teams went back-and-forth in the early stages of the first set making it 6-6.
- IU Northwest went on a rally and pulled ahead 11-7.
- Rochester pulled within one (11-10) later on before the RedHawks went on a 7-0 rally to go up 18-10.
- The Warriors looked to crawl back into it but IU Northwest kept their distance throughout the rest of the opening set.
- IU Northwest took it 25-20 to grab a 1-0 lead.
SECOND SET (Rochester 25, IU Northwest 23)
- Rochester came out strong in the second set, leading 7-2 early.
- IU Northwest bounced back and made it a one-point game (13-12 Rochester).
- The RedHawks tried to tie it up but the Warriors kept their lead for the rest of the second set.
- Every time IUN would bounce back and keep it within one, Rochester had an answer.
- Rochester ended up winning the set, 25-23.
THIRD SET (IU Northwest 25, Rochester 16)
- This time it was IU Northwest, who led early in the third set, leading 4-1 early.
- Rochester was able to bounce back after a rally and take a 8-7 lead.
- Both teams traded the next few points before making it 11-11.
- IU Northwest scored the next five points to grab an 16-11 advantage.
- The RedHawks led as much as nine after scoring the last two points of the set to close out the third set victory.
FOURTH SET (Rochester 25, IU Northwest 20)
- Rochester had the lead early and often in the fourth set.
- IU Northwest was able to tie the match late at 19-all.
- The Warriors outscored the RedHawks, 6-1, the rest of the way.
- Rochester bounced back and won the fourth set, 25-20, to force a fifth and deciding set.
FIFTH SET (IU Northwest 15, Rochester 10)
- Rochester got the scoring going to start the set.
- IU Northwest scored six points in a row after that to go up 6-1.
- The RedHawks pulled away most of the set until midway through.
- The Warriors were able to fight back and cut it to a two-point deficit (11-9 IUN).
- IU Northwest outscored Rochester, 4-1, the rest of the fifth set to win the set and match.

FIRST SET (Northwestern Ohio 25, IU Northwest 19)
- Both teams traded rallies in the early stages of the match making it 6-all.
- UNOH rallied for a 6-1 rally which made it 12-7.
- IU Northwest cut the deficit down to two but the Racers kept their distance leading as much as seven (20-13).
- The RedHawks fought back and made it to a four-point deficit in the late stages of the set but the Racers did not give in and won it 25-19.
SECOND SET (Northwestern Ohio 25, IU Northwest 18)
- It was 4-4 in the early stages before UNOH scored four in a row to make it 8-4.
- IU Northwest rallied to tie right back up at 9-all.
- UNOH pulled ahead 18-17 late in the set before rallying for six points in a row to make it 24-17.
- The RedHawks tried to bounce back after getting the next point but Northwestern Ohio closed it out 25-18.
THIRD SET (IU Northwest 25, Northwestern Ohio 21)
- UNOH led most of the third set but IU Northwest was still able to come away with the victory.
- The Racers led 14-12 midway through the set but the RedHawks were able to get consecutive points to get their first tie since it was 1-1.
- Both teams traded the 10 points, five for each side to make it 20-20 before IU Northwest pulled away.
- IU Northwest made it 24-20 before UNOH added one more then the RedHawks took the set on the next point to win it 25-21.
FOURTH SET (Northwestern Ohio 25, IU Northwest 21)
- IU Northwest led 5-2 early in the first set before UNOH rallied to tie it at 8-8.
- Both teams traded small rallies after it making it tied at 14-all.
- The RedHawks scored three in a row to make it 17-14 but the Racers fought back and tied it at 17-all.
- IU Northwest led 20-19 late in the set before UNOH outscored the RedHawks 6-1 the rest of the way to win the set 25-21.
