Box Score MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Indiana University Northwest women's basketball was able to win their second straight Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference game Saturday as the RedHawks defeated Cardinal Stritch, 66-55, at Panella Court, Saturday.

GAME RECAPBoth teams traded eight points each in the early going to make it 8-8 with 4:24 left in the first quarter.
Michaela Schmidt and
Sarah Martin hit back-to-back layups to make it 12-8 IU Northwest, their biggest lead of the quarter.
Cardinal Stritch looked to fight back and make it close after cutting it down to one (14-13). Tiara Jackson converted on a huge and-one at the end of the first period to give the RedHawks a 17-13 advantage.
Katelyn Halfacre and
Alyna Santiago hit back-to-back three-pointers to start the second quarter to give IU Northwest a 10-point lead (23-13). The Wolves bounced back and scored seven in a row to pull within three (23-20) with 6:59 left in the half.
IU Northwest responded with a 7-0 run of their own after
Schmidt made a layup and a three-pointer then
Samantha Martin hit a basket to make it 32-25. Cardinal Stritch closed out the half with three baskets in a row to make it 32-31 IU Northwest at the break.
Madison Wirey and
Schmidt opened up the second half with back-to-back layups to go up 36-31. The Wolves got the next basket then
Schmidt and
Karli Miller got two straight buckets to go up 40-33.
The RedHawks went ahead by 10 (48-38) with 1:53 left in the third quarter. IU Northwest was up 51-43 at the end of the third period.
Cardinal Stritch made it an eight-point game again 53-45 with 7:32 left in the game.
Miller and
Lauren Smolen made back-to-back layups to give the RedHawks a 59-45 lead, their biggest of the game at the 4:03 mark.
The Wolves tried to fight back and cut it back to 10 (61-51) but it was too late in the contest. IU Northwest ended up winning the game 66-55.
