Volleyball Loses Three Straight Sets to Cardinal Stritch

GARY, Ind. -- The Indiana University Northwest women's volleyball team lost three straight sets to visiting Cardinal Stritch at the Savannah Center Tuesday.

  • The Wolves went on a 5-1 rally and tied the match at 15-all.
  • Both teams traded points then Cardinal Stritch went ahead 24-21.
  • CSU ended up winning the first set 25-22.

SET 2: Cardinal Stritch 25, IU Northwest 12

  • Both teams traded the first six points which made it 3-3. 
  • Cardinal Stritch scored six in a row to grab a 9-3 lead.
  • IU Northwest looked to bounce back but the Wolves were one step ahead.
  • CSU went up 15-6 looking to put the match away.
  • The Wolves won the second set 25-12.

SET 3: Cardinal Stritch 25, IU Northwest 14

  • Both teams scored five points a piece early on which made it 5-all.
  • Cardinal Stritch scored three points in a row to make it 8-5.
  • IU Northwest bounced back and added three in a row to tie it back. 
  • The Wolves went up 12-10 then scored eight straight for a 20-10 lead.
  • CSU won the third set 25-14 and won the match 3-0.

  • IU Northwest will be back in action Tuesday, November 2 as the RedHawks host Cardinal Stritch inside the Savannah Center starting at 7 p.m. CT.
