North Manchester, Ind. -- The Indiana University Northwest women's volleyball team had an impressive day on the court today with a big sweep against NCAA Division III School Anderson at the Manchester University Invitational Friday.

The RedHawks (5-3) defeated the Ravens (4-10) with the scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-22.

The RedHawks also defeated Terra State Community College, 3-1, in an exhibition match later on in the day Friday.

Sophomore Bella Kuechenberg (Lowell, Ind./Bishop Noll) led Indiana Northwest with 10 kills on the night. 

Emileishka De Jesus (Hobart, Ind./Portage) recorded eight kills on the attack and seven digs. Junior Erica Kik (Griffith, Ind./Griffith) picked up seven kills and two blocks. 

Freshman Mary Markusic (Munster, Ind./Bishop Noll) also had a huge night on the attack picking up seven kills. 

IUN Setters had impressive days today helping with attacks. Senior Cara Nebel (Portage, Ind./Portage) and junior Maddie Maatman (Beecher, Ill./Illiana Christian) recorded 15 assists each.

Women's Volleyball returns to the court for day two of the Manchester University Invitational with two matches starting at noon CT. The RedHawks take on Governors State starting at noon CT then will take on the Manchester Knights starting at 2 p.m. CT.
