Brittany Dickerson was named head coach of the IU Northwest men's and women's cross country programs in June 2025. She will begin her second season with the RedHawks in 2026-27.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Dickerson brings extensive experience as both an NAIA student-athlete and a collegiate coach. She competed at Ohio Christian University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in emergency and disaster management and business management. She also holds a master's degree in advanced leadership and business management from OCU.
As a student-athlete, Dickerson qualified for the 2020 NAIA cross country national championships and recorded a personal-best 5K time of 18:51.95. She was a first team all-conference selection in the River States Conference for both cross country and track and field in 2020 and 2023 and earned second team all-conference honors in cross country in 2022.
Dickerson has coached multiple athletes to NAIA indoor track national championship appearances and led her previous team to a fifth-place finish at the NCCAA national cross-country championships. Under her leadership, her teams have earned numerous NCCAA accolades, including:
·      Men's and women's NCCAA All-American 4x800m relay teams
·      Women's NCCAA national runner-up in the 10,000 meters
·      Men's NCCAA national champion in the 400m hurdles
·      Men's NCCAA national runner-up in the 110m hurdles
In 2025 alone, her RedHawk athletes broke 10 school records, with every team member recording at least one personal best during the season.
Dickerson is a graduate of Global Impact STEM Academy in Dayton and is committed to building a strong culture of development and competitiveness within IU Northwest cross country.
