Ben Kososkie

Ben Kososkie enters his fourth season as head coach of the Indiana University Northwest men's soccer program in 2026.

In his third season at the helm in 2025, Kososkie guided the RedHawks to a 3-14-1 overall record and a 2-7-1 mark in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play. IU Northwest's most dominant performance of the season came Oct. 22 when the RedHawks routed Calumet College of St. Joseph 9-0. The program capped the year with a 4-0 victory over the University of St. Francis on Senior Day, Oct. 28. Dom Bixeman, Nick Flores, Luis Limones, Cesar Lopez and Isaac Macias earned CCAC All-Academic honors. While Limones and Flores were named NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes and received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition.

Kososkie was named the CCAC Coach of the Year in 2024. Tre Adams earned second team all-conference honors that season, while Cesar Amaya, Dom Bixeman, Tyler Davis, Luis Limones, Omar Mehisen and Gavin Niebel were named to the CCAC All-Academic team. Limones and Davis also received NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete recognition.

Kososkie went 4-12-1 in his first season with the RedHawks in 2023, picking up conference victories over St. Francis and Calumet College of St. Joseph. Five players — Dom Bixeman, Tyler Davis, Jared Hecimovich, Avione Lane and Francisco Torres — earned CCAC All-Conference/All-Academic recognition. Davis and Hecimovich were also named NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes. Bixeman, Davis, Hecimovich, Lane and Torres additionally received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors.

Over three seasons, IU Northwest student-athletes have combined for 17 CCAC All-Conference/All-Academic honors, 6 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, and six NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete awards.

Prior to arriving at IU Northwest, Kososkie spent the 2022 season at Edmonds College in Lynnwood, Wash., where he guided the Tritons to a 7-9-3 record and a sixth-place finish in the north region standings of the Northwest Athletic Conference. Edmonds scored 30 goals in 19 games, with leading scorer Trevon Hamilton netting 10.

Kososkie served as an assistant coach with the Western Oregon University women's soccer team in 2019 under head coach Kacey Bingham, helping guide the Wolves to their first 10-win season in 17 years. Western Oregon competes in NCAA Division II. Prior to joining the WOU staff, he coached the TFA Willamette Soccer Academy in Albany, Ore., and also served as athletic director and resource room teacher at Colton High School in Salem, Ore.

Before his time in the Pacific Northwest, Kososkie was head coach for the men's and women's soccer programs at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa, an NJCAA program, from 2016-18. With the RedTails, he elevated the women's program from a 2-13 record to an 8-7-1 mark in 2017, advancing to the regional tournament. Over two seasons he coached 10 all-region selections, more than 20 all-academic honorees and one All-American nominee.

Earlier in his career, Kososkie served as director of coaching and operations at Sereno Soccer Club in Tucson, Ariz., and also coached the Catalina Foothills High School program, handling all facets of operations. He additionally assisted with the Ft. Lowell Soccer Club and RockStar United and served as general manager of the Tucson Tiburons.

Kososkie earned both his bachelor of science and master of science in sport management from California University of Pennsylvania.
