Jenelle Kapelinski begins her first season on the RedHawks’ coaching staff. Kapelinski returns to IU Northwest after spending one season on the Gavit High School varsity staff and serving as junior varsity head coach.  Kapelinski a three-time letterman, and key cog in IU Northwest’s first two A.I.I. Conference Championship teams returns to the RedHawks

Kapelinski starred for the RedHawks from 2008-2011 and was a top contributor on their back to back A.I.I. Championship and first two NAIA national Tournament teams in 2010 and 2011. With Kapelinski, IU Northwest won a school record 24 games in the 2009-2010 season and were 66-31 in her three seasons with the RedHawks.

Prior to her playing career at IU Northwest, Kapelinski starred locally at Lake Central High School playing for Indiana Hall of Fame Coach Tom Megyesi and where she was a four-year letter winner and twice an All-Area and All-Duneland Conference selection. She began her college playing career at NAIA power, Lindsey Wilson College (KY).

Kapelinski’s primary responsibilities with the RedHawks will be post player development, opponent scouting, assist with daily operations, coordination team travel and recruiting.
