Cristian Canelo is entering his second season as an assistant coach with the Indiana University Northwest men’s soccer program.

Canelo brings valuable experience to the RedHawks, having coached three seasons at Bishop Noll Institute and played collegiate at both Calumet College of St. Joseph and Saint Joseph’s College. His background as both a player and a coach gives him a well-rounded perspective and a strong foundation for developing student-athletes at the collegiate level.

Canelo is passionate about helping young players elevate their game by focusing on technical development, tactical understanding, and mental resilience. His coaching philosophy emphasizes growth both on and off the field, with a commitment to building confident, disciplined, and independent young men.
