Ben Kososkie

Ben Kososkie begins his third season as the head coach of the Indiana University Northwest men's soccer team.

In his first season with the RedHawks, Kososkie was 4-12-1 and had conference victories over St. Francis and Calumet Saint Joseph's. He also saw Dom Bixeman, Tyler Davis, Jared Hecimovich, Avione Lane and Francisco Torres picked academic all-conference awards. Davis and Hecimovich were also named NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athletes. 

Kososkie comes to the RedHawks from Edmonds College in Lynnwood, Wash. During the 2022 season with the Tritons and he led them to a 7-9-3 record and a sixth-place finish in the north region standings of the Northwest Athletic Conference. In 19 games, Edmonds scored 30 goals and leading scorer Trevon Hamilton finished with 10 tallies.

Prior to arriving at Edmonds, Kososkie served as an assistant coach with the Western Oregon University (NCAA Division II) women’s soccer team in 2019. He helped guide the Wolves to their first 10-win season in 17 years.

No stranger to the Midwest, Kososkie was the head coach for the men’s and women’s soccer teams at Hawkeye Community College (NJCAA) in Waterloo, Iowa. With the RedTails he coached 10 all-region picks, 20 all-academic selections and an All-American honoree.

Kososkie received both his bachelor and master degrees from California University of Pennsylvania earning his bachelor of science in sport management and his master of science in sport management.
