GARY, Ind. — Senior forward Caleb Jenkins has been named the Herff Jones RedHawk Athlete of the Week for Week 12 after a dominant showing for the IUN RedHawks men's basketball team during the Nov. 1 – Nov. 8 span.

Jenkins led the RedHawks in scoring with an 18-point average over the first three games of the 2025-26 campaign, knocking down 18 of 33 field-goals (.545) and connecting on six of 14 three-point attempts (.429). He added 12 of 13 free throws (.923) and pulled down 19 rebounds (6.3 per game) while distributing five assists in that stretch. 

In particular, Jenkins stood out in the Nov. 8 contest versus Indiana University Columbus, where his efficiency in the paint and ability to finish around the rim helped IUN pull away in the second half. Those efforts helped establish an early tone for the season and set a standard for his teammates to follow.

A graduate of De La Salle Institute in Chicago, Jenkins enters his final collegiate season with the poise of a veteran and the production of a go-to option. His early consistency across multiple statistical categories demonstrates his value not just as a scorer but as a complete contributor on the floor.

For his all-around impact, efficiency, and leadership through the Week 12 window, Caleb Jenkins is recognized as the Herff Jones RedHawk Athlete of the Week.
