SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Luis Limones scored a first half goal for the Indiana University Northwest men's soccer team, but Spring Arbor was a 5-1 winner Saturday evening in nonconference action.
The RedHawks head into Wednesday's contest against Marian at 0-3-0 with the match set for 4:30 p.m. inside the Crown Point Sparta Dome.
IUN had an early corner kick but could not capitalize on the opportunity. SAU, meanwhile, scored its first tally in the 13
th minute, and then again at 24:58 on a penalty kick. The RedHawks were able cut their deficit in half when Limones hit the back of the net.
Devun Collins made two late first half saves for IUN, he now has 15 on the young season. Stansbury Park, Utah, native, would also make five second period stops as well to give him a season-best eight on the night.
During second half action, the Cougars defense stymied the RedHawks attack, as they were only able to get one shot off. In the 73
rd minute, Limones shot attempt was credited as a blocker save.
