Elgin, Ill.- In a match with significant playoff implications, IU Northwest and Judson entered the match with just one point separating each other in the standing or the eight and final CCAC playoff spot with just one week remaining in the regular season.
The tightly contested defensive grudge match saw the two CCAC foes battle to a 0-0 stalemate through he first 84 minutes. The deadlock remained until IU Northwest earned a corner kick taken by
Olivia Hansen that sent a perfect ball into the box that was re-directed by IUN's
Jocelyn Chang-Stroman into the back of the net in for what would prove to be the game winning goal. The lone goal of the match in dramatic fashion helped the RedHawks edge the Eagles 1-0 to keep their CCAC playoff hopes alive. The goal by Chang-Stroman was her second game winning goal in the final minutes this season
The RedHawks out-shot the Eagles 9-7 and earned 7 corners compared to 3 by the Eagles.

Isabel Escalera saved 5 Eagles shots on goal to earn the clean sheet and shutout.
The RedHawks moved to 7-8-2 overall and 4-5-1 in CCAC play and now have 13 total points as they currently hold the eighth spot with just one week left to play. The RedHawks will return to action when they close out the regular season in a match versus the Governors State Jaguars this Tuesday, October 29, for a 5:30 p.m. kickoff in Crown Point, Ind.
