BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. – The Indiana University Northwest men's soccer team got five goals from Dom Bixeman and Francisco Torres in the 5-0 shelling of Andrews Tuesday afternoon in nonconference action.
 
The RedHawks improve to 1-1-1 and are back in action Friday at home against IUPU Columbus with kickoff set for 5:30 p.m.
 
IUN got the first of five goals less than 20 minutes into the game when Bixeman hit the back of the net for the first time in 2023. Five minutes later, Bixeman tallied another goal when he took a pass and fired the ball past the Cardinals keeper.
 
Then right before intermission, Andrews was whistled for a yellow card inside the box and Bixeman took the penalty kick to nail the hat trick.
 
During second half action, the RedHawks picked up their fourth tally of the day from Torres as he sped past the AU defense for the breakaway goal. Then just before the 90^th minute, Torres lobbed a shot to the top shelf for his second score of the day.
