Box Score Lansing, MI - Highly touted freshman Luis Limones scored in his college debut and the RedHawks outshot the Great lakes Christian Crusaders 15-3, however IU Northwest had to settle for a draw in their season opening match.

The RedHawks controlled the possession throughout the match and Limones' first career goal (32') put IU Northwest ahead 1-0, but a Crusaders goal at the 60' mark would equalize the match as the RedHawks were unable to capitalize on several good scoring opportunities. Jared Hecimovich made 3 saves in net for the RedHawks.

The RedHawks (0-0-1) return to action this Friday in search of their first win when they host Shawnee State for their home opener at 4 p.m. at the Crown Point Sportsplex. Statistics for this match were not immediately available, please check back for updates.
