Men's Basketball

THIS WEEK IN IUN ATHLETICS: Dec. 4 – Dec. 10

GARY, Ind. – Staring Monday evening and wrapping up Saturday afternoon the Indiana University Northwest men's and women's basketball teams are in a full slate of action this week. The action includes the third ranked women's basketball team in the country coming to the Savannah Center.
 
Monday, Dec. 4
7 p.m. – Ancilla at Men's Basketball (JV)
 
Tuesday, Dec. 5
5:30 p.m. – No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan at Women's Basketball
 
Thursday, Dec. 7
6 p.m. – Women's Basketball at Valparaiso (exhibition on ESPN Plus)
7 p.m. – Trinity Christian at Men's Basketball (JV)
 
Saturday, Dec. 9
1 p.m. – Holy Cross at Women's Basketball
3 p.m. – Holy Cross at Men's Basketball
 
Men's Basketball
The developmental men's basketball team is home for a pair of games this week as they take on Ancilla Monday and Trinity Christian Thursday at 7 p.m.
 
The RedHawks varsity squad, meanwhile, gets back to action Saturday in a conference battle against Holy Cross. IUN has won three out of its last five games and has gotten 17.5 points per game from Jalen Houston over the last two contests.
 
Through three CCAC games this season, the RedHawks are 2-1 and have three double digit scorers, while Demarius Splunge has grabbed a team-high 20 rebounds.  
 
Women's Basketball
Since dropping three straight games in early November, IUN has won 4-of-5 with two of those victories coming on the road at Grace and St. Francis. Wednesday, the RedHawks welcome third ranked Indiana Wesleyan to the Savannah Center for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
 
The Wildcats are coming off a 92-56 win over Bethel and got 19-point performances from Jordan Reid and Lilli Frasure. Both Frasure and Reid are IWU's leading scorers as the duo averages 20.7 and 14.3 points per game respectively.
