ELGIN, Ill. – Jared Hecimovich made 13 saves for the Indiana University Northwest men's soccer team, but Judson came out on top 2-0 in CCAC action Saturday afternoon on the Dawson Field pitch.
Hecimovich made five stops in the first 20 minutes of the game, while the RedHawks offensive attack had a shot on target by
Francisco Torres and he had another opportunity that went to left of the pipe.
Later in the period,
Isaac Macias sent a shot to the box, but the ball was stopped by the Eagles keeper. Then in the 35
th minute Judson broke the scoreless tie, but just before the break
Luis Limones attempted to hit the equalizer but he couldn't sneak the shot past the keeper.
In second 45 minutes action, IUN had only a pair of shots with
Lazo Golubovic and
Dom Bixeman each getting a look, but their respective shots going wide. Hecimovich, meanwhile, had seven saves in eight chances during the half.
Next up for the RedHawks is a Tuesday night battle with Governors State at the Crown Point SportsPlex at 6 p.m.
